City Building Closed June 18th and 21st in Observance of Emancipation Day and WV Day: Governor Jim Justice declared June 19, 2021, Juneteenth, a West Virginia State Holiday. This is in observance of Freedom/Emancipation Day. Since the 19th is a Saturday, the State Holiday will be observed on Friday, June 18, 2021. West Virginia Day will also be observed on Monday, June 21, 2021. THE CITY OF WESTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED FOR BUSINESS ON JUNE 18, 2021 IN OBSERVANCE OF EMANCIPATION DAY AND REMAIN CLOSED ON MONDAY, JUNE 21 2021 FOR THE OBSERVANCE OF WV DAY. Robert L. Bland Middle School Art Mural

The art mural displayed at Robert L. Bland Middle School is the project of the Weston City Arts Council in collaboration with the Lewis County Board of Education, and Steve Jerden. The mural was designed by Jill Stewart which displays the art work by Landon Bush JLES, Olivia Shiflett RLBMS, and Sara Flesher LCHS. Bruce Talago and Frank Greathouse were responsible for placing the display on the school.  (Locally Lewis)
